Named after the beauty mark worn by the pop phenomenon, Madonna, it is sometime called the Greta Garbo and Chrome (Cindy) Crawford after their beauty marks. The piercing, like the beauty spot, is vertically off centre to one side. It is important to remember, as with all piercings, that if the jewellery is removed you will have a permanent scar. Even if only a small one, it is likely to be more noticeable on the face than on other parts of the body. Studs are jewelled at the end in either white, blue or red.
